British Pepper and Spice is aware of contamination/adulteration of Paprika with almond protein which has led to a number of national product recalls in the UK.
People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to Almonds run the risk of serious life-threatening allergic reaction if they were to consume these products.
The processing of Paprika and other Capsicum related spices imported into the UK is traditionally carried out by specialist millers in Europe. British Pepper and Spice sources its Paprika products exclusively from an established long-term partner who is fully accredited and annually audited by our technical team and who operates to our own strict process protocols.
Our Paprika is processed from whole Paprika pods which are inspected and then ground in a specialist facility dedicated to Paprika and Chilli products.
No nuts are present in our site, our supplier’s site or where the Paprika is grown and dried.
In addition we have tested our Paprika products for Almond and Peanut allergens and the results were negative for these allergens.
British Pepper and Spice is therefore able to assure all of its customers that:
Our Paprika products are free from Almond and Peanut.
