BRITISH PEPPER & SPICE ANNOUNCES NEW APPOINTMENTS (29/03/05)
British Pepper & Spice (BPS), one of the UK's largest suppliers of herbs and spices to leading retailers and food manufacturers has made two new appointments within the company.
Julie Hedley has joined the company as BPS's Finance Director, whilst Alex Lynn has been appointed Junior Development Technologist.
Julie has considerable experience in the finance sector. After gaining a first class degree in Maths, Julie qualified as a chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse. Following this, Julie moved on to enjoy a long and successful career at Geest where she has held a number of positions, including Finance Manager for Geest business and Financial Controller of Geest Tilbrook where she was responsible for all financial aspects of the company. Julie's most recent position was Financial Controller for two Geest ready meal businesses and her management experience, along with her familiarity of handling large budgets will provide Julie with the ideal skills needed for her new position with BPS.
On her appointment, Julie comments: "British Pepper & Spice is a key player in its sector, and I am delighted to have the opportunity to put my skills into practice in this new position. My previous experience has encompassed both finance and the food industry and I am looking forward to this new challenge."
Graduate Alex Lynn received a degree in Forensic Science from the University of Lincoln and moved on to the position of Laboratory Compounder at Belmay Fragrances Ltd where she worked for two years. During her time at Belmay Fragrances, Alex provided key assistance to the perfumers, her main role being the compounding of fragrances, which stands her in good stead to undertake her new role.
Alex comments: "I'm thrilled to be joining British Pepper & Spice and hope to transfer a majority of my skills learnt at Belmay Fragrances in to my new position. BPS had a fantastic 2004 and I hope to be part of the strong team continuing the success throughout 2005 and beyond."
